Nihilus vs. Revan

Let’s find out who would win in a hypothetical fight between Darth Nihilus and Darth Revan.

Darth Nihilus destroyed planets destroyed planets, and Revan knew both sides of the Force. They are truly two of the most powerful Sith ever to live, and Revan was a Jedi, too.

In this match-up, I’ll be matching up a redeemed KOTOR Jedi Knight Revan at his prime knowledge of the Force against a Battle of Telos IV KOTOR II Darth Nihilus. Let’s see how this turns out!

First, we want to compare their lightsaber combat. Let’s break down their lightsaber forms to start. Revan uses Form VI: Nimen lightsaber combat. This form uses nicely integrated Force techniques, and has no particular weaknesses. Revan also wielded two lightsabers, one red and one purple. He is a master of lightsaber combat. Darth Nihilus uses Form DCLXVI: Atra-Manua. This form is a good form to use; it is a defensive form, though most of the defenses merge into an attack of some kind. However, if we’re only talking sabers in this duel, Revan wins.

Now, let’s take a look at their Force powers. Revan and Darth Nihilus both have the incredibly powerful Force Storm, although I feel that neither of them would be able to execute this power during the middle of a lightsaber duel. The same goes for Darth Nihilus’ Essence Transfer. Though he has used it before to maintain a physical form, I don’t think he could execute this power in the middle of a lightsaber duel against Revan, who is hands-down a better duelist than Nihilus. Now, Darth Nihilus might try to pull off a Force Drain, but Revan is highly resistant to this attack, and Nihilus would only weaken himself if he tried.

So, you may be asking yourself how it’s possible for Darth Nihilus to stand a chance. Well, I think he could actually win, and here’s how: his dark variant of Sever Force. With this power, he literally cuts off the opponent from the force. This, I think, Nihilus would be able to execute during the duel. Therefore, Darth Nihilus wins this duel.
